Buying and Selling
The Axie Market is where players list their Axies for sale. A “sell” action initiates a Dutch (or clock) auction for the Axie. Sellers choose a start price, an end price, and a length of time for the auction. To complete the process of putting an Axie up for sale, a transaction is entered into the Ethereum blockchain through a wallet interface with enough Gas to fuel the transaction. Axie Infinity collects a 4.25% commission fee from each sale, deducted from the final sale price.
Gifting
Players also have the option to “gift” an Axie to another player. (An ERC20 compatible wallet is necessary to receive an Axie. Gas is still required to gift an Axie since the transaction still needs to be processed.
